Republicans are preparing to threaten to not lift the nation’s debt ceiling without major spending cuts from the Biden administration. Congress must pass a law raising the current limit of $31.4 trillion or the Treasury Department can’t borrow any more, even to pay for spending lawmakers have already authorized. We could have picked several more items of the chaos that will be caused, but intentionally limited it to a few in order to keep the video under 30 seconds. Ideally it would be even shorter. The video was designed with the free iMovie app and cartoons from Political Cartoons.
The call to action refers people to STOP REPUBLICANS, an accountability campaign of Progressive Turnout Project, is a grassroots-funded effort dedicated to resisting the Republican Party and Donald Trump’s radical right-wing legacy. The QR Code at the end of the video was generated with the free QR Code Generator app.
Rapid response video encourages voter registration
Rapid response videos also work to highlight positive news and encourage viewers to act. This rapid response video recognizes Democratic Governor Pritzker's assault weapon ban in Illinois and encourage viewers to register to vote at Vote.org in order to get other states to also ban assault weapons. This video was also designed with the free iMovie app with a call to action crafted by Richard Greene. Notice how the message connects the importance to voting to a direct benefit: fewer deaths from shootings with assault weapons. The call to action leads viewers to Vote.org which can track which campaign led to that voter registration.

Illinois becomes latest US state to ban assault weapons. Illinois became the latest U.S. state to ban the sale or possession of assault weapons. Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed the "Protect Illinois Communities Act" into law during a ceremony at the State Capitol in Springfield. Supporters, some of whom were gun violence survivors, erupted with applause and cheers as the governor presented the signed document. The new law bans assault weapons, including some semiautomatic firearms, along with high-capacity magazines and rapid-firing devices. - ABC News
